MADRID - Spaniens hovedstad med omkr. 3,5 mio indb.
deler sammen med Berlin 3-4 pladsen som EUs største byer efter London og Paris.
Den er interessant, mange steder meget smuk og absolut et besøg værd; gør
det ikke om sommeren med omkr. 35-40 C.
Man lander i den imponerende
Barajas lufthavn (4 største i EU); som Iberia-kunde landede jeg ved den
arkitektonisk flotte og nye terminal 4. Eneste minus var manglende
metro-forbindelse (endnu!).
Madrid kan ikke gøres på en weekend, men en
del kan nåes, hvis der planlægges rationelt ;-) ! - Blandt højdepunkterne
er
1) Et af verdens fineste museer findes i Madrid - Prado museet, med
enestående kunstværker fra internationale og spanske malere fra det 12. til det
18. århundrede. Velazquez, Goya og El Greco er uden tvivl de tre største
attraktioner. Min yndling Rembrandt havde "kun" et billede, anyway det var en
fin oplevelse, vel kun overgået i Europa af British Museum (London) og Louvre
(Paris).
2) Kongeslottet - smukt ud- og ikke mindst indvendig.
3)
Centro - med Plaza Puerta del Sol og Plaza Mayor; hertil kommer Parque Retiro,
Casa de Campo med Madrids Zoo og endelig
4) Santiago Bernabeu

and not forgetable the magnificant stadion of Real Madrid - Santiago Bernabeu
Stadium.
